Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Strategic Perspectives is a biannual research journal of the Center for International Strategic Studies, AJK. It publishes articles on broad array of topics related to international security and strategic studies.

Guidelines for Research Article
Researchers and scholars who wish to contribute their articles for publication in Strategic Perspectives may send their original, unpublished research articles in MS Word. They must also write their brief introduction, including contact details, and a certificate that the research is not published elsewhere or is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The submitted articles are subject to double-blind peer reviews both nationally and internationally. For plagiarism, we strictly follow the HEC guidelines. Contributors may note that once their articles have been accepted for publication in Strategic Perspectives, they cannot withdraw their article or have them published in any other journal. All contributions must be submitted at editor@cissajk.org.pk or cissajkeditor@cissajk.org.pk

Abstract Length
Articles should have a brief abstract comprising 250 words
Words Limit
Article length should be between 5000 and 6000 words, including the references
Deadline for Submission of Articles
March 31st and September 30th, each year
Submission Mode
Contributors are expected to submit a soft copy in MS Word (Times New Roman Font, 12 size). The Journal does not charge any fee for the publication of articles
Referencing
Strategic Perspectives follows Chicago Manual 17th Edition (Full Note) for referencing (with Font size 10)

Research Articles

Research Articles present original research. All submissions undergo blind peer review.

Review Articles

Review Articles provide comprehensive overviews of existing research in the field. All submissions undergo blind peer review.

Short Communications

Short Communications report preliminary results, brief findings, or concise studies of interest. All submissions undergo blind peer review.

Case Studies

Case Studies present detailed analyses of specific cases or examples in the field. All submissions undergo blind peer review.
